At IT Centre we are celebrating 21 years in business! It’s a big milestone, and we definitely couldn’t have done it without you, our amazing customers, as well as our wonderful team.

Here we take a moment to reflect on the past 21 years:

It all started in 2002 after Rob & Linda had returned to New Zealand, having spent more than twelve years gathering top-level international IT experience, consulting to some of the UK’s largest corporates and Value Added Resellers.

Wanaka called, and Rob decided to start Wanaka Computers, with the support of Linda. In 2008, Wanaka Computers became incorporated.

In 2016, as the business grew, it was decided to change the name to IT Centre, for a number of reasons.

Firstly because we were servicing customers from all over the world, and secondly because we were doing a lot more than just computers. 

Over time the team grew with Sam and Liz joining us in 2013, then Zane and Chris, and more recently Nigel. 

We are now a team of seven, with Linda and Liz supporting the technical team, as well as an outsourced marketing department. To read more about our team click here.

So now here we are in 2023, celebrating 21 years in business! 

We love being part of the Wanaka community, and have enjoyed giving back to the community by volunteering for and supporting local and national clubs and organisations: applying for grants on their behalf, organising meetings or fundraisers, and helping to bring in speakers to present on issues important to the community. We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful clients. Over the years, we’ve seen many customers also grow, and it has been wonderful to be part of that growth. We have been lucky enough to receive a number of glowing testimonials which you can read more about here.
